recycler and manufacturer since 1981

MTB st chef, atelier de fabrication des équipements de recyclage
  • 1981

    Foundation

Francis Sevilla creates MTB: Sorting and Crushing Machines.

He manufactures the first machines while starting the recycling activity with copper and aluminium lines on the Trept site.

  • 2007 - 2010

    A new skillset

MTB offers WEEE recycling solutions, optimises its industrial tool and extends its sorting machine catalogue with magnetic separators.

  • 2011 - 2012

    A fresh start

Jean-Philippe Fusier, Managing Director of MTB from 2000 to 2010 takes over the company.

The range of machines is extended with reinforced granulators and crushers, including the BDR2400R.

  • 2013 - 2015

    Development

Plastics, ASR, Bottom ash: growing know-how.

Creation of the Ballistic Magnetic Separator, the BMS.

MTB deploys locally by creating a spare parts shop and a USIMAX machining site dedicated to the manufacture of MTB machines.

Business development continues with the creation of the entity MTB Recyclingtechnik GmBH.

  • 2016 - 2017

    Innovation: Box concept

Creation of the BOX range: MTB expertise and performance compacted in containers.

The range is extended with a new generation of granulators: BAT 845, SRP2800 and eddy current separators.

  • 2017

    More Than Business

MTB is commited to The Sea Cleaners  association, whose mission is to clear the oceans of plastic waste (financial support and technical contributions).

MTB becomes Sponsor of The Manta project.

  • 2018 - 2021

    Industrial excellence

New industrial complex in Saint-Chef: an eco-efficient manufacturing workshop and head office.

1981

Machines de Triage et de Broyage (MTB)

The company’s founder, Francis Sevilla, developed mechanical methods for recycling non-ferrous metals from cables. As the first machines were being built for sale, Francis Sevilla decided to create aluminium copper cable recycling lines to test and improve our equipment: a unique stance worldwide.

SINCE 2011, aiming for excellence

Since Jean-Philippe FUSIER’s acquisition of the company, we have continually invested to develop the business, improve our working tools and propose new recycling solutions. The driving force is anticipating the end of the lifecycle of new alternatives (green energy, electric mobility, etc.) and adding value to each component to protect the planet from resource extraction and waste burial.

mtb TODAY

A MARKET REFERENCE IN NON-FERROUS METALS RECYCLING

Based on 40 years’ experience, we have diversified our recycling skills and continually improved machine quality and sturdiness. We process: copper and aluminium cables, waste from electric and electronic equipment (WEEE), ordinary industrial waste (OIW), tires, scrap metal, battery etc. We are inventing the waste recycling solutions of the future.
