  • 1981 - 1995

    The MTB history

At a time when cable recycling was still in its early stages, MTB founder Francis Sevilla set out to develop innovative recycling equipment capable of separating materials more efficiently, reducing losses, and improving working conditions.

This vision laid the foundation for the technologies that would later become a benchmark in the recycling industry worldwide.

  • 1996 - 1998

Our first steps in the United States

In 1996, two American recyclers visited MTB’s facility in France.

What they discovered was not a large industrial corporation, but a highly specialized company driven by innovation, technical expertise, and practical recycling solutions.

The impact was immediate. Toby Shine (Shine Bros. Corp.) and Don Lewon (Utah Metal Works Inc.) became among MTB’s first customers in the United States.

  • Our equipment quickly demonstrated its ability to deliver higher throughput, improved material recovery, and greater operational simplicity. MTB’s reputation in the American market was built on one simple principle: proven performance in the field.

  • 1998 - 2008

    Building long-term partnerships

Throughout the following decade, MTB continued to expand its presence across North America.

This growth was driven by close customer relationships, technical support, spare parts availability, and a commitment to helping recyclers achieve long-term success.

Our customers became our strongest ambassadors, and MTB equipment progressively established itself as a trusted solution on recycling lines across the United States.

  • 2008 - 2016

    Strengthening our presence

The partnership between MTB and WENDT Corporation marked an important milestone in our development in North America.

Through local facilities dedicated to logistics, support, and equipment storage, MTB was able to further improve customer service while reinforcing its position within the U.S. recycling market.

  • 2017 - 2023

    A new level of growth

The launch of the CABLEBOX represented a major breakthrough.

MTB strongly believed in the potential of this fully assembled Plug & Run recycling solution, designed for rapid deployment and immediate productivity.

Demonstration events organized at WENDT Corporation generated significant market interest, resulting in 24 CABLEBOX units sold across the United States in less than two years.

  • 2023 - Today

    A reputation built onthe field

In 2025, MTB brought back its successful Demo Days concept with the introduction of the MaX, our most compact recycling plant to date.

More than 100 customers and industry professionals attended the demonstrations, confirming the growing interest in efficient, compact recycling solutions.

Today, MTB’s reputation continues to be built where it matters most: on customer sites, through proven results, reliable equipment, and long-term partnership (WENDT)
