NHIW or Household wastes are likely to contain a large number of different products, some of which have a value (metals) and other, an interesting calorific content. Others like PVC can pose problems.
" The whole difficulty of the process is therefore, to isolate these elements and to prepare the products to optimise their reuse as an energy source."
With our processing, we know how to isolate:
- stainless steel,
- and we can also propose sorting other families of products.
After shredding, the waste becomes an SRF (solid recovery fuel) and can be used to feed incinerators or cement ovens, thus replacing petroleum products.
